Offered for auction is a beautiful rare antique late 19th century Victorian Austrian Sewing Box. It is a stylish piece typical of the era. Round sewing casket has been made from turned oak wood and finished in lacquer outside and inside. Overly with brass ornamental binding on the lock. Featuring integrated on the lid pincushion in old linen canvas.The hinged lid with brass binding and brass binding on base. Comes with originlal key, the lock in working order. Found at an estate sale in Vienna not sure of its exactly history other than it came from an estate of a world traveler and antique collector.
The box is in excellent condition for its age.
